ABOUT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Hello!
My name is Sally. I have not always been professional photographer but I have always loved taking pictures. I have worked outside of the home my entire life up until this past year when my youngest son, Austin, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Life has since taken me in a much different direction and having a child with cancer has also certainly taught me what is most important in life. Every day is a gift and making and capturing those memories is something that’s really important to me. I want to capture some of your really special moments too!
My favorite type of pictures are not the type of pictures where mom has spent weeks getting wardrobes coordinated and dad and the kids would rather be doing anything else besides taking pictures. The pictures where everyone is trying real hard to smile “on 3” but sometimes it’s just a bit stressful and tough on everyone. Those pictures are great and all and we have all been there but…
I much prefer real moments and real smiles and real emotions. I want individual personalities to really shine through the camera lens! I don’t believe everyone always has to be smiling or even looking at the camera to get a great photo. I am perfectly patient waiting for those real moments and I know them when I see them.
I want to take pictures of your kids doing what they love to do. Whether that is a picture of your son in his baseball uniform, a fashionista picture of your teenage daughter for her Instagram page or pictures of your 7 year old and his/her best friend in the neighborhood. Why wait until their senior year in High School to take these types of portraits?
I want to take pictures of your elderly parents or grandparents if you are lucky enough to still have them with you. We spend decades giving our parents and grandparents pictures of our own children but do we have pictures of them? They are the reason we are here and they won’t be with us forever.
These are just some examples of the special moments that you’ll want to look back on one day.
No stress. No wardrobe consultations. No drama.
